For the first week i just wore the shoe to walk in and my ankles bled everyday. When it finally started to feel better i skated for a week and it was done, which is a shame because its looks great and it skates great. I bought a second pair a half size bigger so it wouldnt hurt my ankles,and they don't, but i had to lace it up real tight, the laces tore in two days and its just not as comfortable. A few improvements and the shoe wins.

The Romero is -straight up- the perfect shoe. Great board feel, but the sole doesn't feel too thin. I had gotten use to the pop cush insoles and was worried my feet would hurt, but these shoes are so good.

Straight up doesn’t feel like it’s even on your foot. Before purchasing I read some of the reviews and was hesitant about the heel slipping and getting blisters, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. I’m a size 11, bought a size 11, fits perfectly to a size 11. The durability of this shoe is awesome after a month plus of constant skating and wear the Romero Laced still looks new. The Romero Laced is an incredible deal, board feel, stability, comfort, and quality. Go for it you’ll be happy you did!

I’ve been skating only Emerica’s for about 2 years now and these ones wore out the quickest. The stitching ripped and the suede messed up pretty quick after a few dozen Ollies and Kickflips. I just don’t like how easily they ripped after a few long sessions of skating. Other than that I love the shoes and love Emerica!!! Would definitely keep buying the shoes just maybe not this pair in particular.

Huge improvement in board feel by microwaving them. I recommend doing that to all future romeros to be realesed and also for leo to put out another travesura single thank you for quality footwear, microwave the romero, "micromero" "romerowave". I've noticed that these shoes have an upstanding durability, ive done many kickflips, heelflips, bailed frontside flips, and even once a nollie tre flip the during the flourishing lifespan of this delicacy of a shoe, if ed Templeton is still around ask him he thinks pigeons could be good subject matter for bird porno, don't ask why, he's just the most qualified to answer

As a skateboarder, I’ve had trouble finding solid shoes that won’t get shredded on my grip tape. The suede holds up really well. I’ve been skating these shoes for a month now and there is hardly any sign of wear. I’m a daily skater and spend a good amount of money going through shoes quickly and these are best quality for the price. A typical pair of shoes for me, will start getting holes around my pinky toe in about 3-7 days. I will definitely be getting another pair.

Great all round shoe in my opinion. Real comfy to skate a long time in. I put FP insoles in mine cos my feet don't do impact very well in any shoe. Amazing balance between board feel and impact protection, if you're tryna find a low profile shoe to do both these are great. only downsides are that seeing as it's standard suede I blew a hole in the ollie area pretty quick, and as always ripped a lace real fast. Overall I would say that these shoes can be used for any kind of skating with the right tools (shoe goo and possibly different insoles if you're a wuss like me). Emerica all day.

Like all of them, The cool feature is that you can wear them without laces cause they got these elastic bands in the shoe. So you dont have to worry about laces ripping. If you like to jump down high stuff i recomment putting the G6 insoles in them but if ur more tec the insoles that come in the shoes are good to go 👍🏽

I've been skating them pretty hard since I got them and they've been holding up well. The laces will cut fast, and they really should have the G6 insoles. With g6 insoles these are my favorite shoes I've had yet. I had to take the insoles out from my old hsu G6

Average rating: 4.61 stars Goler 3/28/17 Pullman Great shoes. First time skating the laced since the revamped it. Skates amazing, great feel to the shoe, pure snug true to size fit. Only constructive criticism is that I still have issues with the collar biting into my achellies tendon. With the figgy model Emerica has approached that with what appears to be a padded collar (foam?) . Either way the laced is the classic shoe that is timeless and will always skate like a true skate shoe will. And for a low profile cupsole!? Impact protection, support. You don't find that in a basic, clean minimal stitching low profile show. I back the laced and Leo's idea for this shoe. And also I like how figgy's model is a little bit of a rev'd up version of this shoe but still very minimalistic. I back emericas fully. Can't go wrong. For skateboarders, by skateboarders.

Emerica has always been one of my favorite brands to skate. Ever since the first time I saw Romeros I fell in love with the design. Awesome shoes and always great to keep supporting this company. Big fan of the team too, true rippers.
